The root of all evil is not money, the root of all evil is lack of self-esteem.

Self esteem is a product of your existence in time and space, it is a creation that nurtures and reinforces the ego. It denies the truth of who you really are, God’s perfect creation.

When you truly have this understanding, you can stand in the face of public opinion about you and be unfaltering as you stand in your own truth, and not the poll of public opinions about you. The polls are nothing more than an illusion for the ego to feed upon. In light of your discomfort, these polls and opinions serve to remind you that theirs are areas awaiting to be cleansed within your consciousness.

Change the projection by changing the projector, meaning once you have dealt with your own perception of reality, the world around you will change.

“What you perceive, creates your reality”

Be aware of your body, which is the barometer of knowing. It is the insight into making your world a better place for your being and your healing. Health naturally exists within you, not outside of you. Certainly in sickness you may reach out for professional assistance, but in addition take to the practice of medicating for 30 minutes each day upon the mantra of truth, stating “I AM Health”

You are the health of God in expression. Detoxify your life and release accumulated resentments.

TRIGGERS- Take a closer look at yourself if something seems to “trigger” feelings of unease (dis-ease).

GIVE UP BEING RIGHT- There is no need to be defensive, this has been the cause of all WARS.

STOP THE INTERNAL DIALOGUES- Stop thinking and end your problem of the addiction of thinking. This is of the EGO. Empty your mind of the incessant inner chatter and dialogue that enslaves you to your limiting thoughts.

You will come to know that you have been living in a fictitious world, and then you will naturally let it go. Meditate on the truth that you are “God’s perfect child, that dwells in the kingdom of God.”

There are several core faculties that make up your life- Peace, Power, Prosperity, Joy and Love.

To live a life that’s full and prosperous you have to start by cleaning out your consciousness. Your consciousness is the window to your world. The purpose of your life is not to clean up other people’s windows, only your own.

Consciousness creates many volumes of shoulds and ought-to’s to filter your life through; but one thing is clear, if living doesn’t seem to be going your way, then maybe it’s not supposed to. Learn to walk in trust.

Don’t affix your attention to a passing parade…

Back up, become the witness (an objective, perspective consciousness) to the passing parades of life. If you do not become affixed to this passing, ever changing parade, then you can release the drama of living.

Observe the activities in your life (clean up your windows). This cleansing occurs in layers.

First, there are the dense, emotional reactions. “They” are not responsible for your feelings. This victimization role leads you on a ‘blame/shame’ pattern of living and it is an opportunity for you to recognize that your windows are dirty and in need of a cleaning.

On a deeper, subtler level you face the cleansing of yourself as the being that you have created- your opinions, concepts, ideas and perspectives.

Let go of your opinions and the concepts of what you are. Release yourself, you are spirit, not ego. Learn to release your grip on life and become clear.

Remember your core faculties of peace, power, prosperity, joy and love. These are the substances from which you are made.

Thank God for the difficult people in your life, these are your saviors and your liberators.

When you are faced with the challenges of walking through life facing the difficult people and situations within it, try the following steps to clean up your windows:

1. You are not a victim- Take responsibility. This is empowering. Doing so means you no longer depend on others to make you happy, or unhappy. Examine the toxic emotion, habit, craving or relationship you have to take responsibility for at this moment. “Starting today, I am going to take complete responsibility for my feelings or resentments against _______ ”
(Fill in the blank for yourself.)

2. Back up and become the observer- Witness your feelings. Point your attention towards the toxic emotion and increase your awareness by realizing where in the body you feel your discomfort. Is it in your stomach, your heart, throat or neck? Remove the mental chatter by focusing on the physical sensations. Journal what you felt and where you felt it. Empower your observing witness, not the negative emotions.

3. Label your feelings- Name the sensations going through your body. Is it fear? ..hostility? ..shame? ..guilt? ..jealousy? ..or anger?

4. Back off from the passing parade- Express the feelings. This is the most important journaling step. Write down how it makes you feel. Write it from the other person’s perspective. Write it from a third person’s perspective as if you are a journalist. Finally, write down how you feel when you are done with all three perspectives. This is your opportunity to clean up your windows.

5. Share your feelings- Share what you wrote, or what you are comfortable sharing. This further diffuses the negative emotions.

6. Release- Let go through ritual. Try to emit your emotions into an object (a rock, cloth or other symbolic item) and throw the object away. Release it, burn it, toss it in the ocean…

7. Celebrate- Share how you plan on celebrating your newfound freedom from the negative toxic emotions. Buy some flowers or candles for your home and bring in a rebirth.

8. Cleanse your environment- What in your home needs de cluttering, renewal or release? Clean up a neglected are of your home, give away what you do not need, donate time, money or both to a god cause, help a friend or family member, give attention to someone who needs a caring listen, throw ourt the junk food and replace it with nourishing natural foods for your body.

Share your plans with the important people in your life:

For instance, “My intent is to clean up my home every Saturday morning, to gather what I no longer use and donate it to those that can, and to see this as a way of giving thanks for my abundance in life.”

Thoughts gathered from Unity on The Bay, Sunday Service

“There is no reason not to follow your heart. Those that think that they are crazy enough to try to change the world, are the ones that do.” ~ Steve Jobs.

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” ~ Jalal ad-Din Rumi quotes

It is time to start taking responsibility, to embrace it and not to run away from it through addictive behaviors. Clean up your mess because in truth you are whole, perfect and beautiful.

This is the time for radical faith, and for becoming fearless in the face of fear. It is not the time for playing it small.

Shift your territory…
Open and expand your heart, and your field.

Every time you make someone wrong, you are closing your heart. Let go of the need to always be right. If you want to learn the art of patience, practice the life of non-resistance.

Be a lover of what is. Accept what is…
Then breathe, and begin to listen with compassion.

Vision without action is a dream, action without vision is a nightmare.

Famous quotes in literature point to the inherent perils of the general lack of interest in governing the very government created to serve it’s people.

It is time to take action, to arouse from splendid slumber and the familiar comforts of a ‘business as usual’ mentality; otherwise, we risk waking from the daydream to find our country has crossed the line from which there is no returning.

This isn’t the trial run before we get to make it right- it is the final draft in the chapter of your life. How will you play out your role in this story?

The Quotes:

“The mischief springs from the power which the monied interest derives from a paper currency which they are able to control, from the multitude of corporations with exclusive privileges which they have succeeded in obtaining…and unless you become more watchful in your states and check this spirit of monopoly and thirst for exclusive privileges you will in the end find that the most important powers of government have been given or bartered away….
- Andrew Jackson, Farewell Address, 1837”

I weep for the liberty of my country when I see at this early day of its successful experiment that corruption has been imputed to many members of the House of Representatives, and the rights of the people have been bartered for promises of office.
- Andrew Jackson

Unless you become more watchful in your states and check the spirit of monopoly and thirst for exclusive privileges you will in the end find that… the control over your dearest interests has passed into the hands of these corporations.
- Andrew Jackson

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those
who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
-Thomas Jefferson

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe
-Thomas Jefferson

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.

If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property – until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.’

Something interesting came across my email today for sharing. Being of Cuban descent, I can confirm that my family was also displaced when a regime came into town promising to restore the health of a country suffering from corruption in power. No one thought the eloquent and charming young leader would end up stripping their families of everything they had ever worked for. But it happened and this is a story you should know:

I remember asking dad about Castro when I was about
9 years old. I asked, “Is Castro a good guy or bad?”

Dad said he couldn’t tell!!  This was about 1955. We
were living in Louisiana  at the time. Dad was in the army
 there.

Cuba was fairly close and in the news a lot.  The
Cubans were asking the same question!  Ike was president.

This past July, we had the  pleasure of sharing a
summer barbecue with a refugee from Cuba.  Our dinner
conversation was starkly different than most.

This refugee came to the United States as a young
boy in the early 1960s.  His family was more fortunate than
most as they were able to bring a suitcase and $100 when
they fled Castro’s newly formed revolutionary paradise.

Our dinner consisted of all-American fare:
hamburgers, potato salad, watermelon and fresh ears of sweet
corn.  This is a menu shared with family and friends
nationwide, while celebrating the birth of our beloved
America  on the Fourth of July.

We began with a simple discussion about our country
and the direction it has taken since Barack Obama came to
power.  We shared the usual complaints about the sour
economy and liberal social engineering emanating from the
 rulers in Washington.

But then he said it.  The sentence came naturally.
I assume it was unplanned.  But it carried the weight of a
freight train.  “You know when Castro took power, none of us
 knew he was a Communist.”

We sat stunned.  He continued, “Yes, we all thought
he was a patriot, a nationalist.  Before the revolution he didn’t sound like a radical.”

The comparison at this point  was easy, and I
interjected, “You mean just like Barack Obama?”

He responded, “Yes, just like Barack Obama.”

He continued, “We were all shocked as the government
just continued to grab more power.  First they said the
revolution is over, so please turn in your guns.  We all complied.”

“I remember my uncle saying after it started,
‘Castro will only nationalize some of the big industries, he
will never come and take our family hardware store.’ But
that is exactly what happened, Castro started with the sugar
mills and the large industries, but they eventually came and
knocked on the door of our family hardware store.  My family
had run this store for generations.  They said we now own
the hardware store, you work for us.  And that nice, large
four-bedroom home you own, it is now our property also and
you can move yourself and five children into two rooms of
the house because others are moving in with you.”

The lesson learned from this discussion is a lesson
most Americans refuse to hear.  Political leaders can lie
about their agenda and once in office they can take totally
 unexpected turns.

If you had asked us three years ago if we thought
General Motors would be nationalized, we would have never
believed it.  We could never contemplate a country where the
rule of law, the most fundamental building block of a
justice society would be evaporating just like it did in
Castro’s Cuba in the early 1960s.

But the news of injustice keeps increasing.

Black
Panthers are not charged with wrongdoing by the U.S.
Department of Justice because their crimes are against
whites. The bondholders of GM are stripped of their assets without due process by the government.  Governmental leaders
are bribed in full daylight only to have all investigation
of the crimes stifled by the Attorney General.  The U.S.
borders are overrun with crime and illegal activity and the
leaders in D.C. act as if it is important to protect the
lawbreakers while the innocent are killed and overrun.  When
local communities attempt to enforce the law, they are
ridiculed and threatened as racists and bigots.  They are
sued by the very administration entrusted  with enforcing
 the law.

Without the rule of law the U.S. Constitution is a
sham. Without the rule of law our beloved America is
swiftly becoming a country where only the well connected and
politically powerful will be safe.  As Michelle Malkin has
so eloquently explained in her recent book, a culture of
 corruption has replaced honest government.

The only way this problem will be fixed is by
massive citizen action.  All honest citizens that want to be
treated equally must come together and demand that the
favoritism, the bribes, the uneven enforcement of law end
 now.

And yes, it can happen here.

The Movie 1984

December 30, 2010 | Leave a Comment

1984 the movie  In accordance with the principles of doublethink*, it does not matter if the war is not real, or when it is the victory is not possible. The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. The essential act of modern warfare is the destruction of the produce of human labor. A hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. In principle, the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects and its object is not victory over Eurasia or East Asia, but to keep the very structure of society intact.

From The Dictionary of Newspeak**, The Movie “1984″

*In the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, doublethink is the act of simultaneously accepting as correct two mutually contradictory beliefs, often in distinct social contexts.

**Newspeak is a fictional language in George Orwell’s novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. The term was also used to discuss Soviet phraseology.

Learn More About Breaking The Cycle of Chronic Pain and Inflammation.

Pain is one of the most common health problems doctors treat, yet clinical practice and research shows us that pain is something that can be overcome. One of the most effective natural approaches involves the amino acid DL-phenylalanine, the botanicals turmeric and boswellia serrata, and the proteolytic enzyme nattokinase.

Unlike other substances such as glucosamine sulfate which acts to correct tissue damage after it has occurred, these synergistic substances work specifically to inhibit pain.

DL-Phenylalanine

DL- Phenylalanine is among a number of compounds that have been shown to inhibit the break down of enkephalins, which are the body’s natural opioid pain reducers. DL-phenylalanine has been used successfully for the management of chronic pain in humans. It also exhibits anti-inflammatory properties. It is proposed that the enkephalinase inhibitors may be effective in a number of human “endorphin deficiency diseases” such as depression and arthritis. DL-phenylalanine may alleviate other conditions associated with decreased endorphin levels like opiate withdrawal symptoms as well

Turmeric (Curcuma longa)

Turmeric is used for numerous inflammatory conditions because it has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. The primary constituent is curcumin believed responsible for the anti-inflammatory properties. Preliminary studies show that turmeric helps support several conditions like inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory eye diseases, chronic pancreatitis, psoriasis, hyperlipidemia and cancers.

Boswellia serrata

Boswellia serrata also known as Indian frankincense, is widely used as a traditional herb in Ayurvedic medicine for treating inflammatory disease and has reported anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity. The resin, or gum, from the plant contains boswellic acids, which produce much of this plant’s anti-inflammatory activity.

Nattokinase

Nattokinase is a proteolytic (protein-dissolving) enzyme derived from a Japanese food known as natto, a preparation of soybeans that has undergone fermentation with a bacterium known as Bacillus subtilis natto.Proteolytic enzymes have analgesic effects in addition to their well-recognized anti-inflammatory and anti-edemic properties, indicating they may have a role to play in pain management. Enzyme-derived analgesia is based on inhibition of the inflammatory cascade as well as exerting a direct influence on nociceptors. (16) Enzymes increase speed of healing and pain relief, and decrease inflammation.

Take a look at the…
Estrogen Effects In The Body

Ever wonder what your body would go through without an adequate amounts of estrogen? Luckily for most women they may never know the effects of this but for a few hot flashes as they go from peri-menopause into menopause. A body properly nourished and balanced has mechanisms in place to help a woman adjust to the highs and lows of estrogen production through the many stages of her life. In fact, oriental females have no terms in their language for such things as hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms. Check out my post on the topic of nutrition and hormones.

Estrogen’s Effects on the Brain and Nervous System

Estrogen stimulates the production of choline aminotransferase, an enzyme crucial to the prevention of Alzheimer’s. It has major roles in preserving memory and fine motor skills, improves reason and helps to develop new ideas.

A healthy mind is the product of healthy estrogen levels. The ability to concentrate, to maintain good mood and a healthy disposition for life are the results of adequate estrogen levels because estrogen is needed to produce neurotransmitters like serotonin that decrease depression, irritability, anxiety and pain sensitivity. Deep sound sleep throughout the night is improbable without adequate estrogen levels.

Estrogen’s Effects on Metabolism and Energy Production

Estrogen’s effects at regulating body temperature helps enzymes work efficiently to produce high energy and increase metabolism. You will get the most out of your nutrients to build strong bone, maintain muscle mass and to help prevent muscle damage.

Estrogen’s Effects on The Heart and Blood Vessels

Estrogen helps maintain the elasticity of your blood vessels. It acts like a calcium channel blocker (a type of blood pressure medication) to keep your arteries open and dilates the smaller arteries. It decreases the accumulation of plaque in arterial beds, lowers blood pressure, lowers bad cholesterol (LDL) levels and prevents their oxidation. It increases your good cholesterol (HDL) by 10-15% while decreasing platelet stickiness to prevents clots and strokes. It reduces homocysteine levels ( another known risk factor for heart disease).

Lipoprotein A, a fraction containing both cholesterol and protein fragments is a known risk factor for heart disease that is lowered by maintaining healthy levels of estrogen. The overall reduction seen in heart disease is around 40-50%.

Estrogen’s Effects on The Skin and Skin Structures

Estrogen maintains the amount of collagen in your skin, increases hydration and maintains thickness, softness while decreasing wrinkles. Estrogen supports healthy gums to reduce tooth loss. It decreases the chances of developing cataracts and macular degeneration, a leading cause of blindness with aging.

Estrogen’s Other Beneficial Effects

Estrogen helps increase your sexual interest and decreases your risk of getting colon cancer. There are many benefits of estrogen on the body because there are receptors for estrogen basically everywhere including the heart, brain, muscle, bone, bladder, gut, uterus, ovaries, vagina, breast , eyes, heart, lungs and blood vessels.

The Real Health Care Reform Issue

The real dilemma of health care is not in a lack of funds but in the maldistribution and disinformation the media feeds unwary Americans.

There are too many interests in medicine scrambling for a huge chunk of the medical funds. Only trickles will ever make their way into the lives of tax-paying citizens. The reason that many practitioners went to medical school in the first place has since been put on the back shelf- like a small secondary intention overshadowed by pharmaceutical giants as they cast their nets to bag the biggest share of the profits while watching this nation get sicker with each passing year.

Healing requires NON COMMITTED funds- no strings attached. You cannot fund unbiased education from the deep pockets of pharmaceutical giants paradoxically holding political power over how medicine should be taught and practiced in this country. If we could find generous competing pockets that will fund educating our community to create a sense of personal responsibility, that may begin the changes towards disease prevention. That may reverse the harm that has been done by the manipulations of monetized TV ads and drug promotions. That would be a new direction towards reversal of our so called, ‘Health Care Crisis’.

If you have not seen the movie ‘The Whole Truth’ I invite you to do so now and to learn more about the ways that you can prevent illness through good habits of healthy nutrition. It’s far time to take the initiative into our own hands, for our own lives and make health care reform happen from the inside out… it begins in the home, in the habits that we personally practice and in those that we teach our children to practice as we lead through example.

Here is the reprint from an email I received today which sparked these words…

Pictured is a young physician by the name of Dr. Starner Jones. His short two-paragraph letter to the White House accurately puts the blame on “Culture Crisis” instead of “Health Care Crisis”. Here’s the quick read:

Dear Mr. President:

During my shift in the Emergency Room last night, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient whose smile revealed an expensive shiny gold tooth, whose body was adorned with a wide assortment of elaborate and costly tattoos, who wore a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and who chatted on a new cellular telephone equipped with a popular R&B ringtone.

Ours is a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on luxuries and vices while refusing to take care of one’s self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance

While glancing over her patient chart, I happened to notice that her payer status was listed as “Medicaid”! During my examination of her, the patient informed me that she smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and somehow still has money to buy pretzels and beer.

“And, you and our Congress expect me to pay for this woman’s health care?”

I contend that our nation’s “health care crisis” is not the result of a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. Rather, it is the result of a “crisis of culture”, a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on luxuries and vices while refusing to take care of one’s self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. It is a culture based in the irresponsible credo that “I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me”.

Once you fix this “culture crisis” that rewards irresponsibility and dependency, you’ll be amazed at how quickly our nation’s health care difficulties will disappear.

Respectfully,
STARNER JONES, MD

Every baby boomer needs to be informed about the issues of hormones and nutrition. In fact, discovering your nutritional deficiencies and recovering your youthful levels of hormones for longevity with vitality should be at the top of your to-do lists in 2010… “Who doesn’t need some of that?”

Women are the most to feel and complain about the cycle of ‘change’ within their body, so let’s clarify the stages of female menopause

Menopause, pre-menopause, peri-menopause as well as post-menopause are the terms describing a woman’s transition from having regular periods to none at all. Pre-menopause refers to the years before any menstrual irregularities occur. Peri-menopause marks the interval in which your body begins its transition into menopause. Menopause is the permanent end of menstruation and fertility and refers to the time when periods have recently stopped for good. Post-menopause refers to the years after this transition and through the rest of a woman’s life.

But women are not the only ones to go through hormonal changes. Many times our male counterparts are also having signs and symptoms of dropping hormonal levels. That is known as Male Menopause, or Andropause. Some men will shrug it off as insignificant, either because they really don’t feel badly enough to come to the doctor, or just because they are stuck in the ‘don’t ask for directions’ mode throughout all of the important seasons of their lives. Oh well, guys will be guys. If they feel badly enough, they will find their way to words.

There is ONE little glandular system (the adrenal glands) that can make all of the difference in the world as to whether a woman (and a man, but mostly a woman) will feel the menopausal wrath from H*LL or slide through just as our Eastern Neighborly women do; in fact, Japan simply has NO words for the term HOT FLASHES nor any other subjective references relating to the discomforts our Western women complain about with intensity. Why is that? Do they stress less? Do they eat better? Is there less toxicity in their diets and environment?

YES, YES and YES…

In the US we are incredibly STRESSED. We eat horrifically and live with way too many chemicals that hurt our bodies (both men and women suffer from this problem). So we will spend some time reviewing these issues on this blog site and hope that you will come around, bookmark the blog or pick up the feed trail and get fed on the subject of graceful aging, vital aging, youthful aging so you can live a long and fruitful life in health.
